Photos taken in spring 2009, during a trip to Manhattan with school.
Near Battery Park.
Because I had to get my shot like everyone else.
Ellis Island, Immigration Museum.
Wall Street.
Architecture in New York.
Near Chinatown. (They have their own firefighter names.)
Near South Street Seaport Museum, where we had a view of the Brooklyn Bridge.
Empire State Building visit at 8:46 AM. At first sight, New York City looked like that.
A ticket flying away.
At 10:00 AM, we were on the Intrepid.
Central Park flowers.
We headed to St. Michael’s Church on the 5th Avenue.
We went to the New York Public Library to see the exhibition of the collaboration of France during WWII. No photos were allowed in the main exposition area this but I managed to take a walk inside the library and take photos of its quietness.
Grand Central Terminal at 5:30 PM.
Some group photos for school.
Bubba Gump restaurant in Times Squares. Good food, great ambiance. Not sure about the price, though.
Free hugs near Toys“R”Us.
Candid portrait of my friend. Free hugs are definitely cool.
Lights in Times Squares.
Last day was for museums.
Random sculptures near Central Park.
A marathon was held in there.
Arrived at the American Museum of Natural History by 10 AM.
Some scenery in Central Park.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art by 1 PM. By far, my most favourite museum of this whole week-end in NYC.
After a quick walk into the modern area, we decided to spend the next hour in the huge Impressionism area.
Great, great paintings. We saw some Sisley, Monet, Pissarro, Renoir, Tuner. It was wonderful.
After 72 hours in Manhattan, we headed back to the bus.
Here are my two favourites.
Statue of Liberty.
Brooklyn Bridge.
